STAR Agri Products introduced an efficient cooling system which with little investment can help in minimizing the problems caused by high temperature. The system works by distributing very fine water droplets inside the poultry house which cools the house through evaporation and gives a cooling effect to the birds. The system has three major parts: Control unit: the system can be connected to the house computer or controled through thermostat, hygrostat or interval timer. Pump unit: which consists of pump, filter, solinoid valve, pressure gage and water tank or dosatron. Fogging lines: made of high pressure PVC with nozzles connected to it by Tee's, the lines are placed in the house to adapt with the ventilation system. The system works with a pressure of 14 bar (210 psi) and gives very fine water droplets (30 micron). The system is considerably cheaper than any other fogging system. Because of the excellent price-efficiency ratio this system is one of the most popular cooling concepts in the United States, where it is used in a large number of the broiler houses. With relative humidity below 50% the system can easily give you 7-8ºC cooling; besides using the system for cooling it can be used for other applications like controling RH, dust control, soaking and adding substance to the air content of the house. All parts of the system are of very high quality and durability. The system is easy to install, to work with and to maintain. The system is suitable for all kinds of animals and all types of houses.
